We are excited to offer the Junior Cheerleading program. This program will help prepare children for their future cheer programs within the Sylvania Junior High Schools through instruction from the actual coaches and cheerleaders from Northview and Southview High Schools. Learn motions, jumps, chants, cheers, sideline dances, and stunting basics. Cheering will be done at the Sylvania Recreation games. Space is limited due to gym size, register early.
Dates: Games start Sept 7 – late October 2025 (Sunday afternoons, alternate days possible)
Grades: K – 8th grade / Open to Sylvania Recreation District Residents Only
Practices: August 16, 17, 23, 24 – more details to come!
Locations: Games beginning Mid October will be hosted at Northview, Southview HS, Oregon, Anthony Wayne, and other Northwest Ohio schools.
Fee w/uniform: $130 with uniform (NEW Sublimated uniform for 2025! Uniforms include skirt, top, & poms. Cheerleaders are required to provide their own briefs/bottoms.)
Fee without uniform: $45 without uniform
Deadline: August 10, 2025 / $10 late fee after deadline.

A Cheer Boot Camp! This clinic will focus on motions, jumps, and yelling techniques needed for cheerleading! The purpose of the clinic is to perfect the basic cheer skills. Participants will be divided into groups based on age: K-4th, 5th & 6th and 7th & 8th graders. For those that will have try-outs for Jr. High or High School, this is the perfect clinic to better prepare you! Participants will be given practice material to do at home to prepare upcoming try-outs.
