Wildcat & Cougar Travel Basketball Programs

The Wildcat & Cougar travel basketball program is for boys & girls who are entering grades 4 – 6 and reside within the Sylvania Recreation District. Teams will participate in a Northwest Travel Basketball League. We strive to provide a quality travel basketball program to players who have the interest, dedication and abilities to develop through quality instruction, training and expanded number of games against high-caliber opponents.

Our program focuses on the enjoyment of playing basketball in a controlled setting, as well as fundamental training through the drills necessary to properly develop. Boys and girls who live within the Sylvania School District and are currently enrolled in Kindergarten are eligible. The program will operate at the Sports and Exhibition Center at Tam-O-Shanter.

Boys and girls who live within the Sylvania School District and are currently enrolled in 1st – 4th grade are eligible. The program will operate at the Sports and Exhibition Center at Tam-O-Shanter.

Teams will be organized based on the Elementary or Junior High District school district in which children reside depending on grade level and number of registrations. Special requests can be taken into consideration, however, cannot be guaranteed. There can be no more than two players from the same Junior High District on a Winter League roster. This program is open to Sylvania Recreation District residents only.

Separate Leagues for each grade level will be organized if registration numbers allow.

Practices: There are no practices for this program
Details: 6-week program that includes a 6-game regular season.

Date: Late January – Early March 2026 (6 Games)
Games: Fridays (possible Mondays)
Time: 5 pm – 10 pm
Grade: 9th – 12th
Location: Sports & Exhibition Center @ Tam-O-Shanter
Fee: $80 – includes t-shirt jersey
Deadline: Early January 2026

The program begins in late January and runs through early March. Teams will be organized based on the school High School District in which children reside.
