Pre-Season Indoor Training:  Begins November through mid-March at least once per week at the King Rd Indoor Facility or Sylvania Tam-O Shanter if space is available.

This is a great introduction to the sport of Lacrosse for the NEW player! All participants are encouraged to sign-up with a friend!

A stick will be provided to those who do not have their own.

Our program is open to all Sylvania Recreation District residents as well as non-residents. This program is suited for children of all ability levels. The philosophy is to promote a fun learning experience in an organized environment. With a desire to learn and practice, children should improve on the skills of the game from the beginning to the end of the season through sound coaching. Our volunteer coaches will place emphasis on teaching the fundamentals, working as a team, and having fun.

Program Details: Games will be played at Pacesetter Park! No prior experience is required for those interested in learning this exciting, fast-paced game. Practices will begin in early April. The program will be conducted on Sunday afternoons with alternative days during the week.

Most games will be played on Sunday afternoons along with some weekday evening games. The season will consist of 8 games.

Our boys & girls indoor lacrosse leagues and clinics offer experienced and non-experienced athletes an opportunity to get reps in both a game or clinic setting. Participating in our programs is a great way to improve lacrosse skills and IQ. Parent volunteers are needed to coach the teams, please consider volunteering. Little Laxers Clinics (Boys & Girls)

Little Laxers is a player development program instructed by area high school coaches and players. This program focuses on technique and concepts to help players elevate their game through skills and drills that emphasize stickwork, shooting, dodging, situational concepts and more.

Girls (Grades 1st – 4th): Monday 4 pm – 5 pm, October 13th to November 17th, 2025
Boys (Grades 1st – 4th): Tuesday 4 pm – 5 pm, October 14th to November 18th, 2025
Location: Sports and Exhibition Center at Tam-O-Shanter
Fee: $70 (Residents) / $80 (Non-resident) – (6 sessions)
Deadline: October 3rd, 2025
Equipment Needed (Girls): Player must provide girls’ lacrosse stick & protective eyewear.
Equipment Needed (Boys): Player must provide boys’ lacrosse stick & gloves. Sylvania Recreation will provide helmet.

3rd – 8th Grade Boys Leagues

Youth Lacrosse 6s is a player development league. This league format focuses on bringing box lacrosse to the field. It incorporates an engaging game environment that emphasizes both offensive and defensive skills.  Players will elevate their game in all aspects.

Additional Information:

• Sylvania Recreation can provide helmets to participants if needed.
• Lacrosse 6s is a player developmental league. This league will include a Tuesday practice and Saturday game.
• Games are 6v6 format. (4) – 8-minute quarters.
• Game play emphasizes quick transitions, high energy play, on the fly substitutions, and quick starts following goals.
• All officials will be high school certified officials.
• Follows World Lacrosse Sixes Rules.

Dates: October 13th to November 17th, 2025
Grades: 3rd, 4th, 5th grade / 6th, 7th & 8th grade
When: Tuesdays
Time: 5 pm to 9 pm
Location: Sports and Exhibition Center at Tam-O-Shanter
Fees: $100 (Resident) / $110 (Non-resident) 
Deadline: September 26th, 2025
Equipment Needed: Boys’ lacrosse stick, elbow pads, shoulder pads, gloves, protective cup, mouthguard. Sylvania Recreation can provide helmet.

5th – 8th Grade Girls 6s Leagues

• Reversible jersey included with registration.
• Games are 6v6 format. (4) – 8-minute quarters.
• Game play emphasizes quick transitions, high energy play, on the fly substitutions, and quick starts following goals.
• All officials will be high school certified officials.
• Follows World Lacrosse Sixes Rules.

Dates: October 12th to November 25th, 2025
Girls: Sundays, Mondays
Boys: Sundays, Tuesdays
Time: Weekdays late evening / Sunday afternoon or evening
