Team rosters and game fields will be sized for each age group as recommended by US Youth Soccer to help ensure a proper youth soccer environment for program participants. Teams will be organized based on the elementary schools district in which registrants reside. Volunteer Coaches are needed.

Pre-Kindergarten Program Details: The Pre-K program helps familiarize children with the basics of the game by teaching fundamentals in a fun & controlled atmosphere. Each day will consist of a half hour skills session that will be followed by a modified game. The program only meets on Sundays and there are no additional practices. Some Saturdays are possible.

Pre-Kindergarten

Date: September 10 –  October 15, 2023 (One – 1 hour session per week)
Grade: Pre-K (must be entering Kindergarten in Fall 2024)

Fee: $55 (Resident) / $65 (Non-Resident)

Uniform / Equipment Needed: Blue/Grey Reversible Jersey (available at the Tam-O-Shanter Pro Shop); All Players are required to supply their own shin guards. It is recommended that children wear cleats and bring their own ball (Size 3).

Kindergarten thru 3rd Grade (Soccer Academy)

Sylvania Recreation and Pacesetter Soccer Club continue their partnered efforts to offer a youth soccer program for children who are in Kindergarten through 3rd grades. An added component will feature coaching and player instruction that will be provided by the highly qualified Pacesetter Soccer Club coaches. This is a great opportunity for volunteer coaches to gain first-hand training while coaching a team in our program. Teams will be formed based on the child’s current grade. Each age group will have its own dedicated training night that will be held at Pacesetter Park and led by the professional coaching staff of the Pacesetter Soccer Club with assistance from the program’s parent volunteer coaches. Volunteer coaches are strongly encouraged to schedule additional practices. We look forward to seeing your child participate in our program.

This program will help children learn soccer through continuing to properly practice important fundamentals of the game. The prime focus of the program is to continue skill development and team building in a fun learning environment. The season will consists of one practice per week and one game per week (six games total). All games will be held at Pacesetter Park and practices will be held at facilities around Sylvania as organized by the coach of your child’s team.
