Sylvania Recreation is again sponsoring a Jr. High Ski Club. The club is aimed at those students who have never had the opportunity to enjoy the sport of skiing. Hopefully, a base will be laid so that they may learn to enjoy this lifelong activity. However, those students who are experienced skiers will also find it to be an excellent chance to develop and improve their skills.
Skiing is a fun sport, which develops a student’s self-confidence as he/she achieves higher levels of ability. However, skiing success is measured by first being able to get down the hill without injury. In order to minimize the risk of accidents, a FREE Ski-School lesson will be offered. It is strongly recommended that all students take advantage of the FREE ski lesson. The basics that will be covered, will lead to more enjoyable trips!
The program is only open to Sylvania Recreation District Residents.
All snowboarders and skiers have the option and are strongly encouraged to take the FREE Ski-School lesson and FREE helmet
Skiers will be given an all area pass. With this pass, skiers can go on all ski lifts and tow ropes.
Meals/secure lockers are the responsibility of the individual skier; please send money or a sack meal with your child.
