We are excited to offer the Junior Cheerleading program. This program will help prepare children for their future cheer programs within the Sylvania Junior High Schools through instruction from the actual coaches and cheerleaders from Northview High School. Learn motions, jumps, chants, cheers, sideline dances, and stunting basics. Cheering will be done at the Sylvania Recreation games. Space is limited due to gym size, register early.
Dates: August 20 – October 15, 2023
Grades: K – 8th Grade / Open to Sylvania Recreation District Residents Only
Locations: Practices at Northview High School or Southview High School / Games at Various School Sites
Pre-Season Practices: Begin in late August – Date, Time & Location TBD
Fee w/uniform: $100 with uniform (Uniforms include skirt, top, & poms. Cheerleaders are required to provide their own briefs/bottoms.)
Fee without uniform: $45 without uniform
Deadline: August 11, 2023 / $10 late fee after deadline.
A Cheer Boot Camp! This clinic will focus on motions, jumps, and yelling techniques needed for cheerleading! The purpose of the clinic is to perfect the basic cheer skills. Participants will be divided into groups based on age: K-4th, 5th & 6th and 7th & 8th graders. For those that will have try-outs for Jr. High or High School, this is the perfect clinic to better prepare you! Participants will be given practice material to do at home to prepare upcoming try-outs.
